Kunstraum Florenz
The exhibition profile of the Kunstraum was characterized by the cross-media focus in the curatorial programme with a view to contemporary, abstract tendencies. The focus was on regional/national positions as well as complementary international positions. One particular concern was new works that had never been shown before. In a cross-media approach with works that contained analog and/or digital, material and/or immaterial elements, the field of abstract tendencies and their transitions was comprehensively explored. In the exhibition cycles, two- and three-dimensional works (visual arts, audiovisual spatial art, installations/objects) were thematically focused within the respective exhibitions. The emphasis in the profile was on regional positions. Each exhibition cycle consisted of three to four regional and one international position. The formats of the New Music and Discourse series, as supporting events between and within the exhibitions, reflected and underlined the curatorial profile.
The Kunstraum Florenz was run by Thomas Keller from 2013-2016.
