invitro
Basel conceptual artist Niel Thaler founded the invitro project in 2001 and has ever since occupied the smallest offspace in the city. Every year, Thaler himself realizes one or two projects in a former restaurant showcase in Gerbergasse. Small in size, but accessible around the clock to passers-by in the city center, the various exhibitions are always themed. Each project starts from scratch and only the size of the installations is determined by the location. At invitro, the emphasis is on continuity and a multifaceted formal language.
