Ausstellungsraum Klingental
The exhibition space Klingental sees itself as a place of encounter and hospitality between contemporary art and the public. It gives young artists and freelance art mediators the chance to raise their professional profile; examines and communicates important positions of older generations; and offers a platform for the examination of artistic positions that establish a relevant relationship to local art as well as for experimental exhibition formats.
The Klingental exhibition space was established on the grounds of the former barracks in 1974 as the result of an artists' initiative. Since then, it has continuously been managed on a voluntary basis by committed artists and art experts in ever-changing coalitions and is supported by the Verein Ausstellungsraum Klingental and its members.
