The platform operates at the intersection of art, architecture, and cultural research, developing temporary formats that respond to spatial, social, and historical contexts. It was founded as an association in 2025 in Basel (CH). The ethos of CienCień is rooted in a transcultural dialogue shaped by the collective’s experiences of cultural hybridity. Positioned between Spain, Poland, and Switzerland, the platform functions both as a bridge and as a laboratory for cultural translation. At the same time, it provides artists based in Switzerland with access to international networks and alternative artistic ecologies in which new forms of relationships can emerge beyond established cultural centers.
